Do some research on these things beforehand in order to make an intelligent choice, insuring you are getting the best deal.

Many times, a salesman or business owner will try to persuade you into buying one item rather than another, simply because his commission will be higher or his profit will be better, so you can’t completely rely on a sales person’s advice no matter how sincere they may seem to be.

Do your homework to be completely satisfied with all your purchases.

Have you ever been asked to buy something or do something that for one reason or another you really don’t want to do?

The easiest way to answer these types of requests from friends, relatives or anyone else without antagonizing them is to say, “I’ll think about it.”

“I’ll think about it” usually satisfies every request simply because they will think you are in the process of deciding whether or not you are going to agree to their request, but in reality you are stalling them indefinitely which usually gets you off the “hook” permanently.

Nine times out of ten, they will have changed their mind about what they wanted, or they got someone else to grant them their request, or they decided it was a bad idea in the first place and won’t ask you for that particular favor again.

Thinking of buying a house or building a house on a heavily-wooded lot with lots of tall trees?

You might want to think twice about doing that or even planting trees that will grow to 20 feet or more.

Every time one or more of those trees dies and/or needs to be cut down, it will cost a lot of money which is something most people don’t initially think of when purchasing property in forested areas or when planting trees that in time will grow to be quite tall.

What is the answer?

If you want to move, do you buy another house first and move into it before you have sold your present house?

Absolutely not!

First of all, if you want to sell your house, it will sell faster with your furniture still there in your home. That way, people will get a good idea how the rooms will look with their furniture.

Unless you’ve won the lottery, no matter how much you would like to buy another house, it’s very risky doing so before your present house has sold no matter how good of a deal the new house may be.

Always sell the house you already have before buying another or you could lose both if you end up having to make payments on both of them.

Has your fingernail polish over time become so thick and gummy you think it’s time to throw it away and buy more?

Nail polish can be rather expensive depending upon where you buy it and the kind of brand.

All you have to do is go to your local beauty supply store and purchase finger nail polish thinner. By adding a small amount to old nail polish, it will thin it to where it is like it’s brand new again.

Jogging on cement and/or pavement actually is very hard on your knees, ankles and hips.

In time, as one gets older, these areas of the body will begin to experience pain from the physical damage jogging on hard surfaces can cause to your joints.

If you must jog, it’s much better to jog on a treadmill which will give a little from your weight, jog on a rubberized track surface or jog at the beach in sandy areas or grassy areas which have softer surfaces.

Utilizing The Library’s Reference Room

When I was a little girl, my father taught me something most people don’t know. A library’s Reference Room or Reference Desk can be very helpful and informative which is a valuable bit of knowledge.

Since not every household has a set of encyclopedias, assorted reference books or even a computer, if you need help with the spelling of a word or if you’re stuck finding the answer to, for example, knowing the distance between earth and the sun, make a phone call to your local library and ask for their Reference Room. Personnel there are very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. If they don’t have the answer for you that very moment, they will research it either while you are on the phone, or they will call you back a short time later. Either way, you will be given the answer to your question or questions.
